  Basic Mexican fare at reasonable prices. Servers were polite, not chatty, not overly attentive but neither were they rude or evasive. The place was clean, no loud music, world series on the TV, which was kept at low volume.
  Beans could have been a little better, same with rice, but they weren't bad. The beef in my chimi was tender and tasty. I'm not a food snob. If you're expecting Che' La La, this is not the place for you. If you want a good fresh, hot meal at $9-$12 a plate, stop in and give them a try.

  Service? Our server had to be asked repeatedly for silverware (in short supply apparently), seemed irritated to take our order, and never checked on us for the 35 minutes we waited for our food. When we asked her, she said it had just been put in the oven. Too bad I had ordered a salad (!) and the diner next to us was eating his dinner (after also waiting for utensils) despite having come in and ordered way after us. She said it wasn't her fault, and that we could leave. So we did.
  Food? Bland chips, pureed bland guacamole and tasteless smooth salsa with some heat.
  Advice? Even if you're desperate (we were) pass this place by. The snotty attitude alone was a huge turn off.

  The wait staff are all ex-Norwegian commandos trained in detecting danger around every corner. That said, they ELIMINATED any and all undercooked beans in the refried beans, found ALL of the wilted lettuce in the tacos BEFORE they were served and removed them so we wouldn't be offended like that idiot from Michigan who seems to not have a life due to the so many ridiculous posts of an irrelevant nature to life on their profile page. God forbid something REAL should go bad in this person's life because they wouldn't know who to write a negative review to.
  
  That said, this is s nice, PLEASANT place to eat Mexican fare. Good golly, it's a roadside restaurant across from a truck stop. You want authentic Mexican food? Then you should have gone to Mexico on your honeymoon instead of Mackinac Island! This world has its share of idiots but this person is a member long in good standing in the "Idiots of America" club. I pray I NEVER have to sit nearby this person at any eating establishment anywhere. I'd throw my dinner at them, and pick up their check to boot. Get a life, it's just Mexican food after all...
